April 20, Crescent City and Redwoods

On Thursday April 18 we drove from Redding  to Crescent City thru the southern portion of Oregon. The drive was not long but when we left the I-5 onto Rte 199 the road was very narrow with  switch backs thru the hills and thru the Redwood National Forest. Very impressive trees. The rv park in Crescent City is not ½ full, dead quiet and dark at night.  On the road early on Friday to visit the redwood national park to the south of us. The coast is beautifull and we hiked thru the forest to a waterfall. The forest reminds us of Jurassic park… everything is huge ( trees and ferns). On Saturday we drove to another portion of the redwoods called the Jediah Smith Redwood National Park. Enjoy the pics. We plan to move into Oregon on Sunday.
