April 5,6 Trip to Sequoia National Park

We left Orange Grove Rv and headed to country manor rv in Visalia,CA. We used this as a jump off point to the Sequoia National Park. Hilites ... the drive to the park was a  steady climb thru switcbacks up to 7000 feet. Most notable was all the greenery around and different cloroured blooms ..lots of lavender and yellows..orange groves and nut farms (almonds) at the foothills . The air is thin at the top as well as cold. The trees were magnificent. When we got to the top the clouds moved in and gave us the feeling of fog. There are two trees to mention .. the general sherman tree, its the largest and the general grant tree , its the tallest. Besides these trees there are other giant sequoias , just not as big . Enjoy the pics. Next stop is Yosemite National Park.
