We have settled into a nice routine at the park in Buckeye. A lot of old friends have finally arrived and we have made new ones from Texas, Michigan and BC. The weather was cool last week high 40's mid 50's (cooler thru the nite) but it has warmed up to 70's and should be that range for at least a week. Our days are full , organized baseball twice a week , water volleyball twice a week , dance lessons twice a week and card games in the evenings... need to plan some rest time.We took a drive to the west side of Phoenix to Apache junction and took in the celebrations of Apache Days. The native dances were spectacular and the costumes very colorfull.

Buckeye Arizona, Jan 13
Since our last post we have arrived in Buckeye Arizona on Dec 29. We stopped in Tuscon on the way and bought 2 recliner chairs for the trailer, now to sell the sofa. The temps have been comfortable here but not overly warm and there is currently a cold front , supposed to last until Tuesday with highs of high 40's and lows of high 20's. Cold for RVing. We have been in the pool for water volleyball .. lots of canucks.. high representation from Ontario ,B.C. & Alberta. We are taking dance lessons twice a week in the rec center so that we can keep up with the regulars on dance nite.. our friends Vic & Lyn are the instructors and we are having lots of laughs. There have been three different musical groups performing here in the last two weeks ... gospel music and country... loads of talent. Ivon has started back to running and is running in the desert every second day.We are eating fresh grapefruit and oranges that we pick at a local orchard.Attended Glitter & Glow nite in glendale Saturday nite... the glitter is the christmas lites (before coming down next week) and the glow is the hot air ballons they put up in the dowtown core.Sundays have been put aside for bean dip, beer and football.
