Leaving Texas

Got on the road  headed for Arizona. Stayed in Benson Arizona at the end of day 2 and met up with Bob & Sharon , friends we met in 2011 and  Hiked the Chiricahau mountains in Arizona.

Christmas eve

Had hors d'oeuvres christmas eve at the rv park rec hall and did chinese gift exchange( Bonnie got a bottle of wine and Ivon got a set of barbeque tools) ,  and played christmas jeapordy.

Dec 24... was 78 degrees at rv park. Christmas dinner on the 25th... the owners of the park provided a ham and a turkey while everyone in the park did potluck. 66 people showed up for christmas dinner... lots of good food

Dec 9 Luckenbach

Went to Luckenbach.. was mid 70's. The weather has been mixed, mid 70's, lows in 40's.. a couple of below freezing at nite but then some mornings wake to 60 degrees by 8 am.It is very dry, the churches have signs posted..Please pray for rain.At Luckenbach listened to a band playing in the barn.

Dec 8, San Antonio Missions

 Very warm day on Saturday, 79 farenheit. Spent the day touring historic missions established in 1700's by Spain. Two of these missions are still active catholic churchs.

Since our last post we have settled into our home away from home and reaquainted ourselves with old friends from 2010.The weather has been great .. mid 60's to mid 70's range .

Nov 30, hike enchanted rock

Hiked enchanted rock after being in Fredericksburg for a few days. The weather has been good,mid 60's low 70's.Next few days are forecasted to be warm.  

The enchanted rock is a dome of granite rock formed by a volcano milions of years ago.

Nov 27, Fredericksburg,Tx

On the road at 7am, heading for Fredericksburg. After 700k arrived at Fredericksburg rv park at 4pm. Long day but all went well. No traffic issues around Dallas.Stay tuned.

Nov 26, on to texarkana

 On the road by 9am... packed up the trailer in the rain.450 km to Texarkana, arrived at 4 pm. Set up trailer on Bob&Charlene's 3 acres (they were cruise guests on one of Bonnie's tours this past fall).  Laying chickens/roaster, horse and catfish pond all around us.  Supper put out and loads of stories told.  Good people , good visit.
